5 Games To Look Forward for PlayStation 5 in 2025

February 12th’s “State of Play” has taught me to hope like I had scarcely allowed myself before

The internet is addicted to complaining. This is exactly why I try to keep my own to a minimum, even if right now there is a lot to complain about. Expecting absolutely nothing from the “State of Play” update of February 12th (better to expect little and be pleasantly surprised); I’d say I left feeling not only optimistic but genuinely excited. That’s a first for me in a long while!

Some say the show was disappointing and I understand why they say it. But I was pleased to see PlayStation announce plenty of original projects balanced out with the obligatory expansions and sequels from established titles. Not to mention how exciting it was to realize those original titles are single player experiences for the most part and not another FPS “battle royale” with the clear intention of monetizing the air that we breathe only to die pathetically in just a few months.

So here are my personal stand outs from that State of Play. Not only am I deeply interested in every single one of these upcoming releases; I might actually be tempted to buy them straight away. And that’s not something I thought I’d be saying in 2025 about pretty much any video game title. If…
