A Cooler, Cheaper Alternative For Every Single Rolex Model

Rolex is a fantastic brand. Period. They provide a vast portfolio of awesome timepieces that have garnered a well-deserved legendary status. As a self-described Rolex hater, I am more than happy to admit that. No wonder they are responsible for around 30% of total sales within the Swiss Made watch market. But that doesn’t mean such status does not come at a big price. Literally.
Rolex watches, as well made as they are, demand a ridiculously heavy premium, with both new and sometimes even second-hand examples. This becomes very difficult to understand, particularly when you compare a similar watch from another brand.
Granted, the concept “value for money” ultimately depends on personal appreciation, specially when we’re talking about something as ultimately pointless as a luxury good. But with the amount of incredible, well-built, historic, and handsome options out there, it does make me think Rolex might be the most “overrated” brand in the world.
