Are you ready to spend thousands on a watch?

Having the money doesn’t mean that you are ready to purchase your grail watch.

Scrolling mindlessly through Youtube videos is pretty much like drinking way too much on a family reunion. Most of us have done it and it rarely leads to anything good. However, on some rare occasions, you can actually learn something positive from it or at least have some funny anecdotes for the future.

That is exactly what happened when I stumbled upon a Youtube channel from a guy who speaks from the heart about the lies of watch collecting. On this video, the Youtuber comments about a friend of his, some fancy dickhead pilot (which I choose to imagine wearing clown makeup) that owns a large collection of luxury watches. The pilot confessed that even though he spends most of his time on an airplane he rarely uses his high end pieces. Why? He fears he might, and hear this out, “scratch them”.

Naturally, I was furious with this guy. Have you any idea what any of us would do to buy AND wear that watch collection that you have sitting in a box like if it was the Annabelle doll? I was about to develop an ulcer from the anger, but I have chosen to channel it usefully. I thought I might give you guys some tips to consider before pulling the trigger on an expensive watch.
