When it comes to tool watches, it’s hard to beat this clunky fucker.

During the early stages of my watch collecting journey, I developed an irrational hatred towards dive watches. I had this idea which led me to believe they were bulky, unattractive and cumbersome. Fortunately time does heal wounds (sometimes) and I realized something rather amazing.

I was just friendzoning them. “I like you but… you’re just not my type” kind of thing, you know?

To be fair, most offers out there on the market mostly confirm my point. You check out most divers offered right now and they either look very similar in terms of design or are just something so unbelievably weird and unusable you might as well get that Ben 10 watch.

Yeah… this.

Or that’s what I thought. The credit for my re-discovery of the dive watch goes to the Sinn U50. I thank thee for smacking me in the face like the bitch I am and make me realize that dive watches can be distinctive, functional and cool looking.
