There are three things in this godforsaken world which I love desperately: enchiladas, redheads and the Halo franchise. All three became pinnacles of my youth and transformed me into this babbling encyclopedia of useless information with trust issues and social anxiety.

I loved Halo so much, I bought Halo 2 three separate times. I have the Halo 3 limited edition Xbox 360 system still up and running nicely. I almost punched a wall when I found out I was too late to acquire the Legendary edition of Halo 3. And of course, I unlocked pretty much every conceivable achievement in the franchise except for clearing Halo 1’s campaign on Legendary mode. I still pray to this day that magnificent rumor of a Master Chief Collection being ported to the Nintendo Switch becomes a reality so I can try to achieve once more that ridiculously unnecessary objective.

Love is undoubtedly blind, my friends. It’s capable of deceiving even the savviest of minds and drive them towards the most absurd of decisions. A sway of ardent emotion can make you swear on your grandmother’s life that you’re doing the right thing. Now, I am all for listening to your heart. There is a reason why we have “gut feelings” and trusting them certainly is a survival mechanism. After all, listening to my intuition has literally saved my life twice. But…
