Watch collecting is undoubtedly an EMOTIONAL hobby. Like the best things in life, nothing is guaranteed.

If you’re looking for “objective” answers when it comes to watches, you’ll be disappointed. Frankly, that’s what makes this hobby great. I don’t have to like your horrid Rolex Submariner for you to love it with all your heart. Like a good ol’ friend used to say: nothing is true, everything is permitted.

BUT…

There does seem to be a minute amount of generally accepted “truths” when it comes to watches that will look well on your wrist. Of course, I’m talking about the size.

So if you’re looking to buy a watch for yourself or maybe you intend to gift someone a watch because you’re a delightful human being, but you have no idea how to know if it would fit the owner appropriately, there is an answer.

Now, the obvious thing for me to do would be to tell you:

“Well, go to the store and try it on, dumbass”.

But in case you haven’t noticed, there seems to be some kind of disease all around the world. This might make it difficult sometimes to even access a store where you can try…
