I don't think it's that easy, to be honest. We all think we know "the truth". We all think we know "the facts". But if this pandemic has proved something is that the so-called "experts" get things wrong. Lies have been told everywhere. It is harder than ever to discern the "truth".

People have chosen to believe the exact opposite of what our institutions tell them, not because they're idiots. It's because they've been lied to their whole life and now they know it. We face an institutional crisis like never before and frankly it has been well earned.

I propose an approach of humility and realizing that pretty much everything that you might say is bound to be wrong somewhere. We've all been guilty of spreading "misinformation" and we will keep being guilty of it tomorrow. Because the world is complex. Truth is never evident. It takes years and a lot of fuck ups to identify it. Thinking that you're right while everyone else is wrong is what brought us into this mess to begin with. So I propose caution, humility and the occasional "I have no idea".
