I get where you're coming from. But dialogue IS a part of cinema. You could argue that it belongs to the theater tradition but that can also be said for sound, practical effects or even actors and the screenplay itself. What is "better suited" to a film comes down to the filmmaker. It is quite self-limiting to think the visual aspects of a film are the only part that "truly matters".
