I'm inclined to agree with you, Eric. I think it's never been easier to watch good movies. Cinematic literacy is a really weird concept because I don't even know what it entails. I consider you a cinephile if you love movies, period. If you like or hate the same stuff I do, I think it's pretty much irrelevant. Even those poor souls trapped in Marvel sludge are cinephiles to me, haha.
