Lessons I didn’t learn through this pandemic
Did you ignore them too? For your sake, I hope not.
LESSON #1: Whatever happens, don’t dare to fall in love with your best friend
She might be perfect in your eyes, everything you could possibly need. But don’t forget that asking more than friendship is a sign of greed.
There might be something in the way she moves, that swing from left to right her body blesses you with as she grooves.
It could be the way she flips her hair. A staggering effect on an innocent bystander which of course she’s completely unaware.
Or perhaps it’s the way she smells. It lures towards self-destruction, a practice where she undoubtedly excels.
Written in her eyes there’s a glimpse of hope. You’re desperate to see it as you walk through a tightrope.
Try to remember her before she cast on you that spell. Delude all hopes and wonders before she can tell.
Keep marching on with your head held high, it doesn’t really matter if it’s all a lie.
Anything counts as long as you stay focused however you prefer. Just as long as you make sure you never fall in love with her.
