Celebrating nostalgia with the very first console game I’ve ever owned

Back in the day, PlayStation truly offered one of the very first consoles capable of competing against the giant Nintendo. Some would say that in terms of graphics, textures and running times, the PS system was a step above the N64. Not to mention what games like Final Fantasy VII did to the revolutionize animated cutscenes which in turn made the game into a mind-blowing experience (despite Popeye arms and weird translations) and one of the most beloved titles ever.

Coming at the same time as FFVII, The Lost World: Jurassic Park was a completely different game. Developed by DreamWorks Interactive and Appaloosa Interactive in 1997, this entry was intended to coincide with the upcoming film of the same year directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg.

A truly unexpected entry in the world of video games, The Lost World: Jurassic Park was a nerdfest in every sense of the word. With a collection of more than 30 levels with 5 different campaigns in a platform style arcade, you would be able for the first time to control both a human and a dinosaur. Not only was the idea super cool for someone trying to have as most social anxiety as possible in adulthood; it had incredibly detailed
