2024 was a weird year for the art of watchmaking. Deemed as a “conservative” year in general, I thoroughly agree with the fact that most brands “played it safe” this time around. Not too many “big” releases to see. Nonetheless, great watches that deserve the spotlight at pretty much any price point did show up.
So here you have my personal standouts for this year. Keep in mind these are entirely subjective picks and that many watches were left behind to keep this list somewhat manageable. Either way, you will find here watches that rock my boat either in terms of design or engineering. Sometimes both!
