Thierry Stern is Everything Wrong With The Watch Industry
An recent interview with the president of Patek Philippe proves some watch brands are clueless about their potential costumers
Patek Philippe, one of the most coveted watch brands in the world, recently released their first brand new collection in 25 years. Called the Cubitus, I have talked about it in detail here for anyone who might be interested.
Long story short: the Cubitus created quite a turmoil in the watch space mainly because it proved to be a disappointing release for its rather ugly design and its direct resemblance to the brand’s most successful model in their lineup, the Nautilus.
After covering this disastrous release, I thought I did my part and I was ready to talk about anything else besides this controversial model. But just when I thought I was out, Patek Philippe’s nepo baby of a president and so-called “watch designer” pulled me back in.
