To me there are two kinds of films:

Good films and bad films. Like I've said before, the test of time is always my go-to when I feel cynical about a film. I am naturally inclined to avoid things that become extremely popular and I let time do it's thing.

BUT! I do understand what you mean. I hate Fellini and love Spielberg after all.
