We live in the most advanced, privileged and open minded society we have ever lived in. But precisely because we live in such a comfortable space, mental fragility is at an all time high.

Current generations do not have to struggle on finding something to eat, being drafted in the military or anything at all like that. And human nature responds to making up problems where there aren't any.

Censorship is part of it. Newer generations demand to be comfortable every single second of their precious life. A bunch of prats forcing their ideology unto other people. Not only are they are more intolerant than ever, worst of all, they refer themselves as the "good guys".

It angers me to the bone, Simon. They are winning. People are falling for this nonsense. Right now, there are subjects that no studio wants to touch for fear of backlash. It has disheartened my ambitions tremendously of making a film someday.
